Looking Glass Falls, Pisgah National Forest

It was a really pretty day in the Pisgah National Forest today.  About 4 miles into the forest, is a waterfall called Looking Glass Falls.  It's very pretty, and you barely have to get out of your car to see it; it's right by the street.

LOOKING GLASS FALLS

The drive thru the forest is so pretty

This is the Moore Cove Trail.  It claimed to be "easy", but I found it to be kind of strenuous (anything other than flat ground is strenuous to me).  It's a trail that leads to a pretty waterfall.  I will have to take the word of others who actually saw the falls; I didn't see it because halfway into the hike I decided to ditch it - I had on the wrong shoes and wasn't prepared for hiking.  Oh, well, next time I'll see that waterfall.

Nice hike, but this is NOT "easy"

BIZARRO WORLD.  This was so strange.  In the middle of the river, on a rock, was a headless lawn jockey.  I can't imagine how it got into the river, or where it came from.  It was strange and made me laugh.
