Black Mountain Tailgate Market (Farmers' Market)

Today was the last day of the season for the Black Mountain Tailgate Market.  This farmers’ market is a seasonal Saturday morning community event, open from 9 am to noon.  All of the products sold are grown or handmade by the folks who sell them.  This market is predominantly organic farmer-vendors of vegetables, small fruits, cut flowers, cheeses, and pasture-raised meats. They also include local artisans and bakers among their membership.

For 20 years, the Black Mountain Tailgate Market has offered the best of farm fresh products to their community. They are proud of their market, and it’s really a wonderful place to go on Saturday mornings.  I didn’t buy anything today, but I did enjoy walking around on this beautiful North Carolina fall day.  There were some amazing musicians there playing music using all kinds of instruments; I really enjoyed listening to them.  It was wonderful!

The weather doesn't get much better than this!

The produce is BEAUTIFUL!

Some freshly made baked goods.

I believe these were made of honey.

Ghost gourds!  SO CUTE!

I love seeing people play chess!
